Back in the early 1970'a when rice-a-roni came out I was so happy that I could cook up a batch and have it all week long. there were all different kinds a flavors and the commercial was so cute too. Well one day I was working at my hospital in New Britain in the ER a patient came in complaining about her stomach she already had multiple surgeries from Dr.Fomica. the one thing he said to her, and I will hever forget it the rest of my heallthy life. Was Dr. Formica said to stop eating rice a roni and start making your own rice from scratch. Stopped eating that junk that clogged up your intestines in the first place, well she argued with him stating she had no time to cook regular rice and so on and so forth. But in my heart, I have changed the way I cook from quick instant to long cokking . no matter how much time I need to do it. and I've been better for it. Thanks Dr. Formica

Dear Lorrie and Family, Our thoughts and love are with all of you now at this time. Joe was a loving, dear friend for many, many years. He was also a caring, compassionate, and gentle person, not only with his family, but with his patients. He exhibited qualities everyone would want in a physician and "FRIEND". We will miss him, his laughter and his "forever" sense of humor.

Laurie and family I was so sorry to read of Joe's passing. We go back a long way to when we all lived on the "Block" and were in our residencies in the late 50's. Then it was nice to see you come back to the area and the Club and reestablish our relationship. It was always great to see the two of you and chat. My thoughts are with you all at this most difficult time. His memory will live on with his friends and associates.
