Fernande Y. Bedard Roy, 80, of New Britain,, died Tuesday morning at an area convalescent home. She was the widow of Fernand Roy. Born in Lac Megantic, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Aurora Rouleau Bedard. She lived in New Britain for many years and worked as a machine operator for North and Judd before her retirement. She is survived by her children, Lise and William Talarico of Plantsville, Pierre Roy and Ginette of Rocky Hill, Johanne and Guy Mottola of New Britain and Susan and Christopher Sloane of New Britain; grandchildren, Ann Talarico, Jessica and Nick Roy, Sarah, Luke and John Mottola and Rachel and Emily Sloane, predeceased by a granddaughter, Diana Roy; brothers, Lionel Bedard and Patrice and Hugette Bedard and the late Clement, Francoise and Jean Bedard and sisters, Yvette and Charles Brock, Germaine and John Butler, Lucille Bedard and Donald Hume and the late Alicia and Jeanne Bedard. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 195 South Main St., New Britain. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 PM. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
