Obituary of Victoria Grzeika

Grzeika, Victoria M. Grzeika, 79, of New Britain, died Saturday July 21, 2007 at the home of her son Walter. Born in, and lifelong resident of New Britain, she was the widow of the late Henry W. Grzeika who died in 1983. She graduated from New Britain High School 1946. She attended St. Andrews Church as well as St. John's Church. Victoria worked as a medical secretary until her retirement at the age of 73. She recently found comfort in her son Walter's home and enjoyed watching golf and the Red Sox with his wife Jill and their daughter Lori Grzeika. She also enjoyed the friendship of Flo Egan, Millie Trykowski, Lillian Couto all of Newington, and Bob and Pearl Pinard of East Berlin. All of whom visited her regularly. She is survived by her three sons, Joseph W. Grzeika and his wife Anita from Virginia, Thomas Grzeika and his wife Linda of Colchester, and Walter J. Grzeika and his wife Jill M. of Rocky Hill; six grandchildren, Michelle Morrow and her husband Thomas, Lisa Willbrand and her husband Micah, Jennifer Crispino and her husband David, Lori Grzeika, Jonathan Grzeika, Jeffrey Grzeika; four great grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew and Peter Morrow, Alexandra Willbrand; she is also survived by her twin sister Helen Beecher of New Britain, and several nieces and nephews, especially Edward Grzeika, a sister-in-law June Grzeika and brother-in-law Eugene Grzeika. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Vilchinskas and Vincent Vilchinskas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday July 25, 2007 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 655 East St. New Britain. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery 1309 Stanley St. Friends may gather at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, July 24th.
