KUCKELL: Virginia Rosemary (Montano) Kuckell, 85, formerly of Merigold Dr., New Britain, died July 17, 2007 at the Suffield House, Suffield, CT. She is the widow of Peter M. Kuckell. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Gregory Montano. She graduated from New Britain High in 1941and was later employed by the former American Hardware PNF Corbin Division as a Secretary. She was also a lunch aid at the Holmes School in New Britain for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda and husband William Nyquist, granddaughters Melanie and Brianne Nyquist, all of Somers; sisters-in-law, Margaret Kuckell of New Britain and Anne Benusis of Newington; nephew Robert Montano of Wooster, MA, Daniel (wife Nancy) Benusis of Bristol and a grand nephew Aaron Benusis, also of Bristol. Virginia also leaves her close neighbors and dear friends, Diane and Francis "Sparky" Larson of New Britain. She is predeceased by a sister, Frances Montano and brother Joseph Montano. Virginia's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and care givers at the Suffield House and Recreation Department there for their kindness and compassion that was extended to them during Virginia's stay.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, in New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Suffield House Recreation Dept., 1 Canal Rd., Suffield, CT. 06078 or to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. 06053.
