Raymond Greene Obituary Raymond "Ray" Paul Greene Jr., 59, Bismarck, died March 13, 2007, at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck North Dakota. Ray was born in New Britain, Conn., on Sept. 20, 1947, son of Raymond P. Greene Sr. and Margaret (Corr) Greene, New Britain. He attended local schools and graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical School. Ray served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in art. He owned and operated pottery shops in central Connecticut and on the North Shore in Massachusetts before moving to North Dakota in the late 1970s. Ray formed "Greene Construction" which was contracted to lay the sidewalks in and around the city of Bismarck, North Dakota. Ray stayed active fishing and hunting and was an avid card player. He loved his artwork and a good game of chess. Along with his parents, Ray is survived by his wife, MaryAnn (Woehl) Greene, Bismarck; his daughter, Erin (Greene) Still Day; his son, Tyler Greene; and his stepdaughter, Melanie Swenson. He also had four grandchildren, Britney and Brandy Ferderer and Zyon and Ginnevive Still Day, all of Bismarck. Ray has six surviving siblings, Maire Greene and Raymond Brayne, James and Linda Greene, Maggie Greene and Fred Louis, Kevin Greene and Marthe Reighard, Jerome Greene and Deirdre (Greene) and Gregory Falla, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held in Bismarck and military honors were accorded for his faithful service to our country. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jerome Church on Slater Road in New Britain at 10:30 am. on Saturday March 24, 2007. Calling hours will be from 4-8 pm on Friday March 23, and 9:00 am Saturday March 24, at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
