OBITUARIES Therese M. Rivers, 88, of New Britain, died Thursday after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer�s Disease. She was the youngest daughter of the late George and Flavia (Brennison) Rivers. Born in New Britain she was a life long resident of the city. Therese was an employee of New Britain Machine for many years and was a devout and faithful parishioner of St. Joseph�s Church. She was a member and past President of the Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. In addition to her parents, Therese is predeceased by two brothers, George and Vincent Rivers, and six sisters, Flavia Rivers Martin, Alice Martin, Grace Beers, Mary Rivers, Florence Barrows and Frances Haynes. Therese leaves behind dozens of loving nieces and nephews who will treasure the memories of her humor and zest for life. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass Saturday March 3, 2007 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
