OBITUARIES Joseph Arthur Cyr, 84, formerly of New Britain, died Monday at St. Raphael�s Hospital in New Haven. Born in Madawaska, ME, he lived most of his life in New Britain and was the widower of Glentine (Raymond) Cyr. He had been employed for thirty two years at the Fafnir Bearing Co. and was a member of St. Jean the Baptist Society. He also served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. Mr. Cyr is survived by his son Lawrence and his wife Karen Cyr of Augusta, West Virginia, his daughter Linda and her husband Bill Thomas of Kennard, Texas; his grandchildren Shelly Raggozine, Briane Cyr, Marcy Tedone, Marc Varano and Christopher Hanson, his great grandchildren Clay Cyr, Nicholas Raggozine, Christopher LaPrade, Benjamin Raggozine, Daniel Raggozine, Lauren Cyr, Giacomo Angelo Tedone, and Luca Michael Tedone; his brothers and sisters Joseph Armand Cyr of Vermont, Joseph Roger Cyr of Vermont, Marie Kane of Florida, Gladys Dimock of New Britain and Germaine Cyr of Boston, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
