Obituary of Nancy Follo

OBITUARIES Nancy E. (Gordon) Follo, 72, of Bristol, died Saturday at home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (McDermott) Gordon, she lived most of her life in New Britain and Bristol, moving to Bristol twenty five years ago. She had been employed for many years at the Stanley Works in New Britain and later worked at Balf Construction Co. In her early years, she loved basketball and later became a big fan of UCONN Girls Basketball. She also enjoyed spending time at the casinos playing the "blazing sevens�. Nancy is survived by her husband Alfred J. Follo, a son Kenneth Follo of Bristol, two sisters Marguerite and her husband Robert O�Brien of Stewart, FL, Carol Couture of New Britain, a brother Robert and his wife Darlene Gordon of Southington, a sister in law Josephine Gordon of Bristol, a daughter in law Kathy Follo of Southington, a grandson Matthew Follo of Southington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Alfred J. Follo, Jr., two brothers Kenneth Gordon, Sr., and Frederick Gordon, Jr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer�s Association 96 Oak St. Hartford, CT 06106. The Follo family would like to extend a special thank you to their dear friend, Renee Caruso, for the warm and wonderful care she gave Nancy during her illness.
