OBITUARIES Anthony J. DiPietro, 81, of New Britain, died Monday, at home. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Emanuel and Josephine (Apruzzese) DiPietro, he was a life long resident, spending the winters of the last twenty years in Vero Beach, Florida. He had been employed for thirty six years at the Stanley Works, and was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of the VFW, the BPO Elks #957 and St. Jerome Church. Mr. DiPietro is survived by his wife Margaret (McGuiness) DiPietro, a daughter Jane DiPietro of Vero Beach, FL, two sons Anthony J. DiPietro and his wife Diane of Southington, Richard DiPietro and his wife Loretta of Kensington; four grandchildren Cyndi and John Zoldy, Christopher Sienkiewicz, Scott and his wife Shelly DiPietro and Ryan DiPietro; six great grandchildren Jeffrey, Jason, Eric and Ethan Zoldy and Emma and Payton DiPietro. He is also survived by his brother Salvatore and his wife Patricia DiPietro and his sister Rita and her husband Frank Hochachka all of New Britain, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Jerome Church Slater Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vistas Hospice 255 Pitkin St. East Hartford, CT 06180.
