UCCELLO: Mary A. (Pomerleau) Uccello, 91, widow of Anthony C. Uccello, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at the Plainville Health Care Facility. She was born in Canada, and came to New Britain at a young age and lived there all here life. She spent her life as a homemaker and a care giver, and prior to her retirement, was employed at CCSU in New Britain. She leaves to cherish her memory, son Donald Uccello of Vernon, daughter Rosemary and husband Wayno Andelin of Bristol, daughter Lou Ann and husband Ron Piccoli of Preston. She was predeceased by sons, Sam Uccello of VA., and Marc Uccello of Torrington. Her grandchildren include Steven Daigle and family of Terryville, Russell Daigle and family of Fairbanks, Alaska,; Jason Piccoli and family of Bristol, Jennifer Bromley and family of Preston, Marc Uccello Jr. of Avon, Kathy Morris and Ricky Uccello of VA., Donna Eddy and Anthony Uccello and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, (Nov. 4), 10:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, going to St. Joseph�s Church , S. Main St., New Britain where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary�s Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to W.A.G., the greyhound rescue organization at P.O.Box 1114, Glastonbury, CT., 06033, OR the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT. 06111. Mary�s family wishes to thank the staff of the Plainville Health Care Facility for their kind and loving care. Mary was especially fond of the pet therapy dogs Cody and Bonnie. Her happiest days were when the dogs visited, when she enjoyed giving them treats.
