Obituary of Jeanne LaRocque

OBITUARIES Jeanne Marie LaRocque, 91, formerly of New Britain, died Friday at St. Mary Home in West Hartford. Born in Bristol, the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura (DeLage), she lived most of her life in New Britain, moving to West Hartford eight years ago. Jeanne taught mathematics and French at the secondary level in New York State and in Connecticut for thirty seven years. The last fourteen years were spent at New Britain High School. She retired as head of the language department in 1974. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild of the Church. Miss LaRocque is survived by her nephew Thomas and his wife Janette LaRocque of Fort Wayne, IN; her good friends William Hall and Sister Maura Prendergast, S.M.D. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bristol. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
