Obituary of Catherine Donnelly

OBITUARIES Daniel and Catherine Donnelly, of New Britain, died unexpectedly, Wednesday Night. Catherine, 77, daughter of the late Patrick and Hannah (McCormick) Garner was born in Scotland and Daniel, 79, son of the late Bernard and Katherine (Melley) Donnelly was born in Northern Ireland, both came to the United States and New Britain in 1963. They were both active members of St. Joseph�s Church. Together, they raised a family including their daughters and son Hannah Reyes of New Britain, John O�Neil of Scotland, Catherine and her husband Anthony Lanteri of New Britain and Patricia Harris of Middletown. They have eleven grandchildren: Catherine Callaghan, Ralph O�Neil, Toni Lanteri, Daniel Lanteri, Christopher O�Neil, Scott O�Neil, Paul O�Neil, John O�Neil, John Salafia, Nicholas Fairchild and Patrick Fairchild, seven great granddaughters and five great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Catherine has three sisters and two brothers living in Scotland: Josephine Valenti, Amy Cannon and Hannah Rooney, Patrick Garner, and Frederick Garner. Daniel has a brother Michael and his wife Patricia Donnelly of New Britain, two sisters May Haughey in Scotland, Bridget Davis in the U S and two sisters in law Mary Donnelly in Ireland and Patricia Donnelly in Southington. They were predeceased by their daughter Jayne Marie Donnelly, a grandson John Reyes, a great grandson Rafael Noah O�Neil and Daniel�s brother�s John Donnelly and Patrick Donnelly. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church 195 So.
