Obituary of Walter P. Buck

BUCK, Walter P. Walter P. Buck, 83, of New Britain, husband of the late Florence (Popielarczyk) Buck, died Wednesday, (Feb. 22, 2006) at New Britain General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Moodus, CT., he had lived in New Britain most of his life, and prior to his retirement had been employed at Spano Printing for many years. A U.S.Army veteran of WW II, he was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Dr. Nicholas Formica of New Britain, two granddaughters, Prima and Hari Formica, a brother John Buck of Greenville, RI, a sister Mrs. Mary Callegari of Newington, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a brother Peter Buck and two sisters, Ann Buck and Veronica English. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:15 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain, going to St. John the Evangelist Church, corner of East St. and Newington Ave., New Britain, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M.
