Obituary of June Pikutis

OBITUARIES Retired Navy Commander June Pikutis, 93, daughter of the late William and Julia Pikutis of New Britain, died peacefully Friday Morning at the Snug Harbor Military Hospital in North Carolina. Born April 30, 1912 in New Britain, June attended New Britain Schools before leaving for College and the Military. She worked at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington, D.C. before moving to North Carolina. June loved the beach and her beautiful pets. She was a very generous and kind woman who cared for her family until they passed on. She was predeceased by two brothers Vitty and Albin and two sisters Ann (Pikutis) and Margaret Pikutis. She leaves two nieces Beverly (Pikutis) Cunnane of San Rafael, CA and Christine and her husband Pat Colaiacovo of Wethersfield, two nephews Edward Lorence and Alexander Colaiacovo of Wethersfield and many friends in North Carolina. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. There are no calling hours.
