OBITUARIES Charles E. Thaxton, Sr., 73, of New Britain died Sunday Night at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Bristol, the son of the late Robert W. and Elfrieda (Zerrull) Thaxton he lived many years in New Britain and was employed at the Metalform Company in New Britain. Mr. Thaxton is survived by his wife Yvonne (LaMontagne) Thaxton, three sons Robert Thaxton of New Britain, Charles Thaxton, Jr and his wife Patty of Bristol, Conrad Thaxton and his wife Darlene of New Britain; two daughters Faith and husband Don Bear of Plainville and Edith and her husband Paul Paradis of New Britain; three brothers Robert Thaxton of Newington, Roy Thaxton of Plainville and Fred Wallace of Maine; two sisters Dorothy Wollman of Plainville, Elfrieda Ballou of Florida, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Marceline Gabbey and a great grandson Jonathan Bear. Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. Ann�s Church North St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann�s Church 47 Clark St New Britain. CT 06051.
