Dear Lane and family, It was with great sadness that I read of your mom's passing. I remember so well when you were you young and my husband coached you and Dave in Little League. Your mom was your greatest supporter, never missed a game. I got to know her during those years when we sat together watching you and Dave. She was a great neighbor, too. I enjoyed her friendship. She always was one of the first to volunteer in our fundraising efforts. I wish we had kept in touch. So many missed opportunities. I am so sorry for her loss. I lost my beloved husband this passed June and totally know how you must be feeling. My boys took it very hard, as did everyone who knew him. I am so happy your mom had a granddaughter. She must have been a wonderful grandma and so happy to have a daughter-in-law and a baby girl in her life. She had a big heart. Words can't console you at this time but know mom would want you to be happy after the pain and shock wear off. You were her whole life when you were young and I'm sure it was the same through your adulthood. I grieve for you and your family. I pray that you will remember all the fun times you had with her and know that she lives on in you and your child. With much love, Mrs. Vumback
