OBITUARIES
Victoria "Vicky� L. (Tinti) Johnson, 86, beloved wife of the late Kenneth A. Johnson, passed away at McLean Health Center in Simsbury on October 12, 2005. Born October 6, 1919 in New Britain, daughter of Egilda (Gavioli) and Odone Tinti, she attended schools in New Britain and Southington, and graduated from New Britain High School in 1937, Her high school sweetheart was her husband of 57 years, Ken, who predeceased her in 1999. She was a long time resident of Berlin and Kensington.
Vicky found the way to her family and friends� hearts with her knitting, cooking and baking. Besides her career as cook-manager of Griswold Elementary School in Kensington for many years, she loved sharing homemade meals and baked goods (especially cookies and pies) with everyone. Vicky devoted her life, heart and soul to her family. A most special part of her and Ken�s lives, for 45 years, was hosting and enjoying their friends and family, especially their grandchildren, at their summer cottage in Indian Town, Old Saybrook.
Vicky will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Andrea Mitchell, and her husband, Roger, of Burlington, her son, William Johnson, of Shaker Heights, Ohio; her grandchildren, Todd Mitchell and his wife, Kiko, Scott Mitchell and his wife, Heather, Tim Mitchell, Kristin DiNatale and her husband, Natale, and William Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jackson and Makena Mitchell, Andrew and Hannah Mitchell, and Nadia and Robert Johnson, and a sister, Lena Achille of Cocoa, Florida. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Robert Johnson and siblings, Albert, Amelia, Joseph, Josephine, Charles and Victoria.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Friday, October 21, 2005 at St. Paul�s Church in Kensington at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to McLean Hospice 75 Great Pond Road, Simsbury, CT 06070
