Obituary of Catherine Conway

OBITUARIES Catherine C. Conway, 91, of New Britain, died, Tuesday Night at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Peter T. and Catherine (Farrell) Clark, she lived most of her life in New Britain and was the widow of William F. Conway, who died in 1972. Having attended local schools, Catherine graduated from Teachers College (now C.C.S.U.) and was a teacher at the Benjamin Franklin Elementary School for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a member of the Women�s Club of New Britain and was active with the C.C.S.U. Alumni. After retiring from teaching, Catherine tutored privately because of her love for children and her passion to help them learn. Catherine is survived by many cousins and several close friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
