Obituary of Irene Kassey

OBITUARIES Irene B. (Stanczyk) Kassey, 76, of New Britain died Monday night. Born in Riverhead, LI, the daughter of the late Jan and Helen (Serakowski) Stanczyk, she came to New Britain in the mid 1930�s and was married to the late George Kassey who died April 14, 1978. She was a 1946 graduate of New Britain High School. Irene had been employed at The Stanley Works, the New Britain Bank and Trust, Fafnir Bearing and retired from The Travelers. Irene is survived by her daughter Susan Kassey of New Britain, her son Mark Kassey of Plainville, two nieces Elaine Parciak and Janice Tordnato. She was predeceased by her brother John Stanczyk. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church New Britain. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery Osgood Ave. New Britain.
