Obituary of Alice E. Deutsch

Alice E. "Lisa" (Massi) Deutsch, 97, of New Britain, died Monday January 23, 2012, at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Peter and Santina (Depotica) Massi, she was a lifelong resident. She was the wife of the late Edward Deutsch. She had been employed for many years at Fenn Manufacturing and prior to that, worked at Landers, Frary & Clark. Mrs. Deutsch is survived by her daughter Janet and her husband Lee Hornberger of Burlington, her grandchildren Dean Hornberger and his wife Lacy of Florida, Marci and her husband Thomas LeBlanc of Bristol and Leslie Hornberger of Torrington; her great grandchildren Lauren Hornberger, Emilie LeBlanc, Madison LeBlanc and Lee Michael Hornberger; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephew; she was predeceased by her sisters Rena Massi, Olga McLaughlin, Elsie Samek, and Mary Jones; and her brothers John Massi and William Massi. Funeral services will be held Friday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
