OBITUARIES Aurel B. LaChance, 86, of New Britain, died Wednesday at New Britain General Hospital. Born in At. Agatha, Maine, the son of the late Benoit and Mary Anne (Dionne) LaChance, he lived most of his life in New Britain and had worked at Emhart (Russell & Erwin) many years retiring in 1982. He was a World War II Army Veteran having served in the Tenth Armored Division and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a volunteer with the Red Cross and the Boy Scouts Troop 8. Mr. LaChance is survived by his wife Margaret (Dornfried) LaChance, three sons James LaChance of New Britain, Gerald LaChance and his wife Anna Moberly of West Granby, and Edward LaChance of Chesire; two brothers Lionel LaChance of Madawaska ME, Renault LaChance of Waterbury; a sister Julliet Roy of Niagra Falls, three grandchildren Emmett, Elliot, and Allison and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister and three brothers Dorothy Bosse, Fernand LaChance, Valier LaChance and Armand LaChance. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Today from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
