OBITUARIES Mrs. Jennie (Roggero) Crean, died Monday night at an area convalescent home. Born in Italy, she lived most of her life in New Britain and was the wife of the late Gerald P. Crean, former Sports editor of the Herald. She had been employed at the Superior Court in New Britain for twenty four years. She was a member of St. Maurice Church, past president of the VFW Auxillary Pvt Walter Smith 511, past president of the Ladies Auxillary Dept of CT Veteran�s of World War I, a member of the New Britain Women�s Club, the A.A.R.P., the Salvation Army Women�s Auxillary, the New Britain General Hospital Auxillary and received the New Britain Bar Association Distinguished Service Award and the Columbian Foundation Award. Jennie is survived by her brother Michael B. Roggero of West Hartford, a niece and two nephews Nina Lang-Freeman, J. Michael Lang both of Plainville and Thomas P. Lang of Canton. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maurice Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Maurice Church 100 Wightman Road New Britain, CT 06052. .
