OBITUIARIES Joseph R. Koval, of New Britain, died Thursday after a long illness at Bristol Hospital. Born in New Britain the son of the late Michael and Mary (Bohmac) Koval, he was a life long resident and worked at New Britain Machine many years and retired from Macristy Industries as a foreman. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Hornet Aircraft Carrier and was honorably discharged after four years. He was a life long member of All Saint�s Church where he served as a sexton for many years. He was a member of the Catholic Slovak Jednota. Recently he became a member of St. Ann�s Church. Joseph is survived by two loving sisters Anne Koval of New Britain and Lorraine M. and her husband John F. Egan of New Britain who cared for Joseph through out his illness; seven nieces and nephews Kathleen Richardson, Michelle Larson, Gail Petanovich, Carolyn Newton, Susan M. Egan, John M. Egan and Tammy Fandozzi; his grandnieces and grandnephews Roberta Garrick, Karen Ott, Kenneth Zuk, Erin Dorman-Peters, Caprese Dorman, Brett Dorman, Jillian Newton, Ryan Newton, Arianna Fandozzi and several great grand nieces and great great grand nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Frankowski and brother John Koval. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Ann�s Church New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann�s Church c/o 47 Clark st New Britain, CT 06051.
