Lt. Col Paul Apostalon, 83, son of the late Savas and Florence Apostalon,
Died March 8, of natual causes. Born and raised in New Britain, he
Graduated from the local schools including business school. He had been
Living in East Hartford for the last forty years. He is survived by his loving
Wife Leslie of 39 years, a son Paul of Glastonbury, a daughter Karen and her husband Bill of Voluntown, daughter Diane of Old Saybrook, and a daughter Pamela and her husband John of Brentwood, TN. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Sean, Nicholas, Dana, Gregory, Wendy,
And Jeffrey, and 5 great-grandchildren; Jake, Adam, Steven, Joey, and Michael. He also had many nieces and nephews and other relatives that
He loved very much.
Paul was in the U.S. Army for 35 years including active and reserve duty-
Served in the Pacific theater, mostly in the Philippines during WWII and as
A commander in the United Nations Engineer Supply Depot during the
Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Retired Officers
Association.
He was a longtime member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in
New Britain where he served as Treasurer of the Church Council for many years.
He will be missed by his loving family and the many friends he made over
The years because he always had a big smile on his face. He was always
Welcomed wherever he went. To his many friends and even to some strangers, he was known as the "Top Man� because he always gave away
His homemade tops wherever he went.
Funeral services will be help Friday 10:00 A.M. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church - 301 West Main St. New Britain, Burial will follow
In Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
Visitation will be Thursday (today) from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral
Home 110 Franklin Sq New Britain, with a Trisigion.
Services at 6:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the East Hartford Women�s Club
