OBITUARIES William Patrick McCormack, 77, of Kensington, died Thursday Night at Hartford Hospital. Born Nov. 1, 1927, in New Britain to the late William Francis and Mary (O�Neil) McCormack, he graduated from Central Connecticut State University and lived in Kensington many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1945 to 1948 onboard the USS Roosevelt and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and was also a member of the VFW Post #511. Bill worked for the New Britain Herald for 42 years as the Circulation Director and took great pride in on-time delivery of the newspaper. He served as president of the Percival Elementary School PTA, President of the Saint Joseph College Parent Club and President of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Father�s Club. He was a well known Red Sox Fan. Bill is survived by his wife Janet (Minck) McCormack, six children and their spouses son Christopher and his wife Kelly McCormack of Kensington, daughter Marguerite and her husband Nicholas Ferrigno of Tolland, daughter Mary Ellen and her husband William Campbell of Farmington, son William Jr and his wife Julie McCormack of Meriden, son Peter and his wife Karen McCormack of Meriden, son Timothy and his wife Jean McCormack of Brookline, MA; grandchildren Matthew, Meagan, Christopher (CJ), Ryan, Morgan, Haley, Kyle, Cody, William Patrick, Natalie, Jaden, Mackenzie, William James and Timothy, a brother Robert McCormack, four sisters Katherine Scalise, Rita Lombardo, Virginia Lombardo, and Lorraine Gibson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother John D. "Jack� McCormack, two sisters Shirley Mayer and Mary McCormack and a grandson Sean Michael McCormack. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul�s Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
