Obituary of Maria Scaringe

OBITUARIES Maria M. (Ara) Scaringe, 81, formerly of New Britain, died Sunday in Georgia. Born in Berlin, the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Susi) Ara, she lived in New Britain most of her life moving to Woodstock, Georgia a year ago. She was a hairdresser in New Britain for many years and later joined the New Britain School System as a paraprofessional. She was a member of St. Ann�s Church and along with her husband Frank, who passed away April 22, 1997, was very active in the Police Athletic League. Maria is survived her daughter Penny Murphy of Woodstock, Georgia, two sons Joseph and his wife Lee Scaringe of Florida and Jeffrey and his wife Darcy Scaringe of Maryland; three grandchildren Amy, Jonathan, and Rachael Scaringe and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Ann�s Church North St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
