OBITUARIES Carmel A. Corriveau, 57, of Bristol, died Saturday Night at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Claire, New Brunswick, Canada, he move to New Britain in 1966, where he lived many years moving to Bristol recently. He was a self employed Master Carpenter for many years. A U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam, Carmel was a member of the Franco American War Veteran�s Post 26, where he served as Commander and Chaplain. He was also a member of the St. Jean the Baptist Society and was well known as an avid hunter and fisherman. Carmel is survived by two sons Wayne and his wife Colleen Corriveau of Newington, Dean and his wife Carol Corriveau of Bristol, their mother Anne St. Jarre, a grandson Aidan Michael Corriveau, three brothers Gil and his wife Sandra Corriveau, Georges Corriveau, Alfred and his wife Jaime Corriveau, two sisters Francine and Jean Pierre Boudreau and Nicole and Gilman Morneault all of Canada and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson�s Disease Assoc. 27 Allendale Dr. North Haven, CT 06472. Carmel�s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his longtime friend Gertrude Daigle for all her care and attention. They would also like to thank Robert and Jeannine Corriveau for all their help. In addition, they would like to thank the staff of the Farmington Care Manor for taking care of Carmel while he was a resident there.
