OBITUARIES Alice O. (Zawada) Potetz, 77, of New Britain, died Sunday Night at home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was raised and attended local schools in Newington until her marriage to the late Edwin F. Potetz when they then moved to New Britain. She was a long time parishioner of St. Peter Church and a very active member of the Ladies Guild of the church. Mrs. Potetz is survived by three daughters Suzanne and her husband Gerald Stackhouse of Newington, Rosemary and her husband Gary Bosse of Newington and Alice and her husband Robert Stackhouse of Terryville;and her son John Potetz of New Britain. She will also be missed by her loving grandchildren Caroline Stackhouse, Edwin Stackhouse, Maryrose Bosse, Joseph Bosse, Allison Stackhouse, Christine Stackhouse and Robert Stackhouse and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters William, Andrew, Samuel, George, Theodore, and Chester Zawada, Mary Gorynski, Nelly Koczers and Elizabeth Konzan. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Home Care Division of the CT Hospice Inc., 270 Farmington Ave. Farmington, CT 06032.
