OBITUARIES Leon M. Wrobel, Jr., 47, of Kensington, passed away January 3, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Leon and Dorothy (Buckowski) Wrobel of Kensington. He was a police officer with the City of New Britain for 22 years. He was a former volunteer with the South Kensington Fire Department, Kensington Ambulance and Fire Department. He was also involved in the start up of the Berlin Police Explorers program. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Nancy Perzanowski and her husband Michael of Berlin; his brother Thomas Wrobel and his wife Sharon of Bristol. He is also survived by his nieces Bethany, Kathleen and Valerie Perzanowski and Lesley Wrobel. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul�s Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society 701 Russell Road Newington, CT 06111.
