Carl Schreiner, 89, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of New Britain, died Monday Dec. 27. Born in Cudahy, Wisconsin, the son of the late Karl and Anna (Pfister) Schreiner, he lived most of his life in New Britain, moving to Las Vegas a year and a half ago. He spent over thiry years summering at his home in Old Saybrook, CT. Carl was a parishoner of St. Peter Church, the St. Peter's Society and the Donau Club. During his career, Carl worked for Brother's Cleaners from 1936 to 1944, Krenn's Grocery Store from 1952 to 1956 and worked for thirty years at Emhart Corp. rertiring in 1980. Mrs. Schreiner is survived by his son Robert and his wife Sandra Schreiner of the Woodlands, Texas, his daughter Shirley Kollios of Boilder City, Nevada; three grandchildren Andrea, Chelsey and Brandon Schreiner; a brother Walter Schreiner of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased bu his wife Olga (Zotter) Schreiner. Funeral services will be held Friday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers doantions may be made to St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain, CT 06051.
