OBITUARIES
Helen T. (Trombetta) Juliano, 79, of New Britain died Tuesday Morning at home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine (Retano) Trombetta, she was a life long New Britain resident. She was the wife of the late Sebastian V. Juliano. Mrs. Juliano served the New Britain School Department for thirty nine years as a school secretary, a special service clerk and as a Personnel Administrative Aide until her retirement in 1992. Because of her work, former Mayor Donald DeFronzo declared Helen Juliano Day. She had also been a neighborhood collector for the March of Dimes and a member of St. Joseph�s Church.
Mrs. Juliano is survived by her daughter Joyce and her husband Alan Batcheller of Austin Teaxas; two sons James J. Juliano and his wife Barbara Lisien-Juliano of Portland; John J. Juliano and his wife Susan Moran of Tolland; four grandchildren Caitlin and Austin Batcheller, and Jeff and Jamie Juliano. Helen�s family was expanded to include Barbara�s children Tara Rubinas, Brad Lisien, Michael Lisien, Julie Lisien and great grandchildren Charlie and Patrick Rubinas. She is also survived by her sister Connie and her husband Lou Mallia of Kensington, three nephews Louis Mallia, Paul Mallia and Alex Gary; a niece Janice and her husband Richard Madrak; two sisters in law Alfina Gary, and Sophie Juliano; and a grand nephew Michael Mallia and several cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Trombetta and a sister in law Mary Juliano.
Funeral services will be held Friday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
