Obituary of Albert Schardl

OBITUARIES Albert C. Schardl, 89, of New Britain, died Sunday at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain and a lifelong resident, he had been employed for many years at New Britain Transportation Co. retiring twenty five years ago and he was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was the widower of Ann (Perruccio) Schardl. Mr. Schardl is survived by two daughters Mary Ann and her husband Frank Peifer of East Berlin and Diane Taplin of New Britain; seven granddaughters Margaret Olender, Lisa Dziegielewski, Kate Barton, Tammy Ciesnik, Pam Taplin, Cindy Taplin and Karen Taplin; 13 great grandchildren including Jennifer Liberda and Jamie Janicki; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
