OBITUARIES Magdalena (Hess) Koenig, 88, of New Britain, died Sunday Night at an area convalescent home. Born in the former Austria/Hungry she was the daughter of the late Peter and Magdalena (Schoner) Hess. After the death of her first husband, Lambert Schavilje, she immigrated to the United States and New Britain in 1956 and married the late Peter Koeing. She was an active communicant of St. Peter Church, and the Ladies Guild of the Church. She was especially well known for her talented handy work that she contributed annually to the Bazaar and Picnic at St. Peter�s. Mrs. Koenig is survived by her son Hugh H. and his wife Rita Lambert of Port Orange, FL; her daughter Trudi and her husband Leon Just of Old Lyme CT; six beloved grandchildren Hugh Lambert, Jr., Marcus Just, Michelle Earley, Amanda Just, Eric Just and Brian Just; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church, burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Donations may be made in Mrs. Koenig�s memory to St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq.
