Eric D. Johnson, 77, of Southington, died Wednesday (April 23, 2014) at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven. Born in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Harold and Mary (Sloane) he lived most of his life in Southington. He was employed as a Master Electrician at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in West Haven. He was in his 70th year being involved with the Boy Scouts of America and served as Venture Crew 32 advisor. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he was a member of Mary Our Queen Church in Southington and he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Patricia (Levack) Johnson; their sons Robert and his wife Sally Johnson, Steven and his wife Lisa Johnson, Eric A. and his wife Melissa Johnson and William Johnson; three grandchildren Shannon, Kevin and Daniel Johnson.
A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mary Our Queen Church. Burial will be private.
