Obituary of Evelyn Spinney

Evelyn Spinney, 87, of New Britain, died Tuesday (March 25, 2014) at an area convalescent home. Born in Bangor, ME, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (McKurvey) Spinney, she lived most of her life in New Britain. She was employed for many years at the Loctite Company and was a member of St. Joseph's Church. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Shutran of Newington; two nieces Marybeth Shutran and Patricia and her husband Matthew Cronin, all of Newington; two great nephews Daniel Cronin and Stephen Cronin, both of Newington. She was predeceased by two sisters Marjorie Spinney and Ruth King and a niece Kathleen Saars. Funeral services will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain.
