Obituary of Albert T. Rozzi

Albert T. Rozzi, 94, of New Britain, died Tuesday (Mar. 4, 2014) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Dominic and Anna (Galante) Rozzi. A lifelong resident, he was employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1982. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was predeceased by his wife Rose (Colossa) Rozzi, who died May 4, 2003. Albert is survived by a stepson Richard Benenti and his wife Marcia Jackie of Kensington, a step grandson Mark Benenti; his nieces and nephews Paul Buccheri, Jessica Russell, Melissa Russell; a very special and devoted niece Maureen Sadlowski of Plainville, and his Goddaughter Darlene Russell. He is also survived by his close friends Sylvia Gosselin of Southington and Carol and Jim Mattiolo of New Britain. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 12:00 noon at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church.
