Phyllis S. (Saxton) Weber, 80 , of Mystic, died Tuesday at her home in Mystic. Born in New London, the daughter of the late Park and Bernice (King) Saxton, she was raised in New London and lived many years in New Britain. She then spent several years in Chester and Essex before moving to Mystic. Her husband, the former New Britain Deputy Fire Chief, Donald C. Weber, died Dec. 6, 1993. She began her career at Landers Frary & Clark and spend many more years as a bookkeeper.
Mrs. Weber is survived by three daughters Leslie and her husband Bryan Lorber of Barrington, RI, Ellen and her husband Robert Lachance of Belchertown, MA, and Susan and her husband Taylor Seybolt of Fox Chapel, PA, a son James Weber of Mystic; a sister in law and brother in law Carol and Walter Burkhard; brother in law Milton Weber and five grandchildren, Willa, Ben, Potter, Carolyn and Reed. She is also survived by her good friends Marilyn McGuire and Diane Sikorsky and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to High Hopes Therapeutic Riding 36 Town Woods Road Lyme, CT 06371.
