Rose "Marie" (Morneault) Marquis, 73, of Kensington, CT, beloved wife of the late Laurent Marquis, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rose was born in Baker Brook, New Brunswick, Canada on April 26, 1940, and was a daughter of the late Sylvio Morneault and Aurore (Campagna) Morneault. Rose is survived by a son Paul Marquis (Tammy Metcalf) of South Windsor and her daughter Linda (Todd Cloutier) of Berlin, CT, her grandchildren Mackenzi and Brianna Marquis and Tyler Cloutier and Isabella Cloutier. She is also survived by 3 sisters Irena Boucher (Late Raymond) of Baker Brook, NB, Canada and Rollande (Yvon Levesque) of St.-Jacques, New Brunswick, Canada and Regina (Rene Marquis) of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada; 3 brothers Armand (Irene Marquis) and Jean-Guy (Fabienne Ouellette) of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, and Normand (Nicole Pelletier) of Bristol, CT. She was predeceased by 4 brothers Gerald, Ligori of Baker Brook, New Brunswick, Canada, Gerard (Ginete Bosse) and Laurier (Jocelyne Beaulieu) of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Southington VNA.
