Obituary of Peter Tricarico

Peter Tricarico, of Farmington, CT, died on Tuesday November 19, 2013. He was the son of the late Francesco and Maria (Spadone) Tricarico and was born in Giovinazzo, Bari, Italy. He arrived in the United States in 1951, settling initially in New Britain. HE was a resident of Farmington for over 40 years where he lived with his wife Pearl Tricarico, who died May, 2013. Peter worked as a machinist at Whitnon Spindle in Farmington, and he also built several homes in the area through the years. In addition to his solid work ethic and tending to his garden in his spare time, Peter is fondly remembered for the wonderful wine he produced and shared with his family and friends through the years. He was a gentleman who was devoted to his late wife, Pearl, until her recent passing. His local family includes several nieces and nephews including Joanne DelConte and her children Matthew and Christina of Kensington, Michael and Dawn D'Amato of Burlington, Corinne D'Amato of Farmington, Anne Marie and Stephen Mangan and their children Stephanie and Michael of Farmington, CT and Conrad and Cheryl D'Amato of Las Vegas. Peter is survived by his siblings, Michele (Francesca) Tricarico of Como, Italy; Antonio (Angela) Tricarico of Rome; Anna Tricarico of Rome; Josephine Tricarico of Bari, Italy; Nella Mazzilli of Giovannazzo of Bari, Italy. He was close to his nephews Nino Giaco of St. Charles, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at St. Ann's Church, North Street, New Britain on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1141 Stanley Street, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 AM until the time of the Mass at The Farrell Funeral Home of 110 Franklin Square, New Britain.
