Fr. Joseph came into my life just when I needed someone to guide me through a difficult time. He was always there with words of wisdom and encouragement. Showing me how faith in God will get you through the challenges in life. I will be forever thankful our paths crossed. He was truly a wonderful Priest who cared.
Rest in Peace Fr. Joseph

As the new President of Archbishop Curley High School in 2010, Fr. Joe warmly welcomed me, along with 25 Cardinal Gibbons transfer students, at a difficult time in our lives. May the angels lead you into Paradise, Fr. Joe!

I met Fr. Joe at Curley and served on the Parents' Guild and School Board while he was President of the school. It was a true pleasure to know him and work with him on these organizations and be part of the Curley Family. He will be sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers for his family, fellow friars, and friends. Rest easy, Fr. Joe!

Simply put Father Joe was important to me, he has taught and mentored me throughout my life. I was fortunate to be a freshman at Saint Francis when he was a young new teacher. Fr. Joe was my teacher, coach, mentor and ultimately my friend. I was in his class 3 of my 4 years in school. I played baseball for him; he heard every one of my confessions in high school. When HS was over, Fr. Joe helped me as I entered the military, He wrote me while I was deployed. He married me to my bride. When I became a father and then a head baseball coach Fr. Joe was there again to recommend the books I needed to read and answer my questions. We sent Christmas cards to each other, we talked and texted during baseball games as fans of division rivals for over 30 years. I made sure I bugged him every leap day on his birthday. I’m so grateful to have had such a man in my life. I am blessed that he took the time to keep in touch with me all these years. I am deeply saddened by his passing; I will miss him terribly. Father Joe thank you for being the priest, coach, leader and teacher that impacted my entire life. I hope I made you proud, rest in peace. Pax et Bonum! Joe Calveric SFHS 92.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Friar Joseph. My daughter is an alter server. He was always so kind and supportive of the youth. May he rest in peace. Friar Joseph will be truly missed.

Both my wife and I enjoyed many conversations with Fr. Joe, when he was president of Curley. Greatly enjoyed his company at the Band Alumni gatherings after the Spring concerts. May rest in the hands of the Lord.
