Obituary of Barbara M. Probulis

Barbara M. (Katzback) Probulis, 84, of Vernon, passed away Sunday evening at the Jerome Home in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Carl and Rose (Deutsch) Katzbeck she lived in New Britain many years, moving to Vernon  in 2007. She was the wife of the late Gerard Probulis. Barbara was a faithful volunteer over the years at C.C.A.R.C and in the recreation department at Brittany Farms Health Care.

Mrs. Probulis is survived by three sons Thomas and his wife Nadia Probulis of Hebron, their children William, Sonia, Sabrina and Angelique; Russell Probulis of West Hartford and Ronald Probulis and his partner, Rhonda of Panama City, FL, their children Thomas, Joshua, Navaeh, Faithlyn and Stevie; three great granddaughters, Lilli, Angie and Gemma;  a sister Rosemary Sikorski of New Britain, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to a Mass  of Christian Burial on Thursday (July 11, 2024)  at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow in the State Veteran’s Cemetery Bow Lane Middletown, CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hyland Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306.
