Irene M. Yaksta Obituary
Irene M. (Marek) Yaksta, 98, of Berlin died Sunday (Mar. 31, 2024). Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Walter and Barbara Marek, she had been a Berlin resident for many years. She was the wife of the late Stanley Yaksta. For many years, Irene was employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. and Fenn Manufacturing and she was a member of St. Paul’s Church.
Mrs. Yaksta is survived by two daughters Caroline and her husband John Renault and Dr. Barbara Sauerland and her husband Dr. Louis Juravsky; her son Stanley and his wife, Sharon Yaksta; a granddaughter Heather Renault and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Robert J, Yaksta.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday (Apr. 5, 2024) at 11:30 AM at St. Paul’s Church 485 Alling St. Kensington, Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no visiting hours.
