Obituary of Steven B. Robertson
With sadness we share that God has called home Steven Brian Robertson (61) of Coventry, born, and raised in New Britain, CT. He was a son, brother, adored uncle, cousin, and loyal friend with a generous heart. He was predeceased by his parents Howard and Catherine (Lazzaro) Robertson.
Steven is survived by his sister Teresa Robertson, and her husband Richard Fakelman; his sister and her husband Lisa and Jonathan Humble; nieces Elizabeth Humble and Carolynn Humble; his Godmother Aunt Vivian Galliher and his Aunt Virgina Robertson.
Growing up you could find Steven: swimming and diving off the high board at Chelsy Park Pool, fishing at Papergoods or Silver Lake ponds, pitching fast balls for the Red Sox’s Fagan League, shoveling a neighbor’s sidewalk, enjoying a game of ice hockey, or being an altar server at St. Ann’s Church.
Steven was talented with his hands, he could assemble, repair, and bring to life any mechanical object. Later in life, Steven traveled with his motorcycle, taking Florida road trips then heading back north to snowmobile during the winter. Steven had the widest warmest smile and shared his opinions. He enjoyed spending the holidays with his nieces. Over the years, Steven opened his heart to rescue animals, making his home welcome for unwanted or unwell dogs. Steven had a successful career as a Master Auto Mechanic.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday March 21, with a visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Ann’s Church, 101 North St. New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St. New Britain.
