Maureen and Rene were members of the Shuttle Meadow Country Club and spent summers at Lake Hayward where Maureen bought and renovated real estate.

While raising her children, Maureen served as president of the Junior League and of the New Britain YWCA.  Later, Maureen worked as a real estate broker and owned Community Real Estate and Community Travel. She was employed with H&R Block and served as Kensington Fire District Tax Collector for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling the world and loved sharing the stories of her adventures.  Maureen’s intelligence, style and energetic spirit were a positive inspiration to everyone who knew her.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Maureen is survived by her children, Lisa Liegeot (Nicholas) of Albuquerque, Jana Petano (Richard) of Avon, Maura Liegeot of Kensington, and Adam Liegeot (Katelyn) of Kensington, together with six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
