First I want to express my heartfelt shock to hear of Homer passing! I also want to extend my condolences to his wife and family! I am so sorry for your loss! I worked with Homer at The Hartford years ago, and we were on the same team for a couple years. His birthday followed mine so it was my job to bring the birthday cake. To surprise him, I ordered straight from Louisiana a King Cake and it arrived just in time for our celebration of his birthday. The look on his face was so priceless! He and I talked often about God, family and home! He will certainly be missed! God bless you all, Mary Packnick

As college spouses, l knew Homer as a fun loving, respected and entertaining personality. He was well liked by peers, customers, employees and bosses. His hospitality was infectious. Though we parted ways, l am very happy to know he finally found the love of his life. I am sorry for the loss his family is experiencing at this time and though the years after losing Noma, James, Margaret and James, Jr.
