Obituary of Michael J. Pajor

Michael John Pajor, 60, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 12, 2023.  Mike was born on May 12, 1963 in New Britain to Susan Ann (Gay) and Stanley Joseph Pajor Jr.  Growing up in Berlin Mike earned the nickname Torch.  He graduated from Berlin High School in 1982 after which he went to work as an operating engineer at Tilcon for 38 years.  Mike lived and loved life to its fullest.  His presence was larger than life and could be felt by everyone around him; not to mention, you couldn’t help but laugh at the stories Mike would not only tell but act out as well.  

He was a member of the Sons of Italy Club in Southington, CT since 2005 where he was integral in many of their events including cooking for its members.  Mike was always busy doing something; skiing, snowmobiling, golfing,  traveling, fishing, playing cards, visiting friends in Vermont, watching his favorite football team the New York Giants, or enjoying a Nascar race.  Mike’s greatest pastime though was spending time with his family, longtime partner, and friends whom meant the world to him. 

Mike is survived by his siblings Stan and Kim Pajor, Donna (Pajor) and John Miciak, and Billy and Cathy Pajor as well as his nieces and nephews Niki and Lisa Pajor, Stosh Pajor, Zach Pajor and Emily Mitchell, and Zoey Pajor and great niece Ana Pajor.  Mike is also survived by his longtime partner Kassi Diorio and her children Kayli, Skye, and Lexi Diorio.  Sadly, Mike also leaves behind his canine best friend Phoebe.  Mike was predeceased by his parents Susan and Stanley Jr.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours Friday (Oct 20^th) from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held Sat (Oct 21^st) at Sons of Italy Club, 139 Center Street, Southington CT 06489 from 1:00 5:00 PM.
