Obituary of John E. Potetz

John E. Potetz, 68, of Plainville,CT passed away on Sunday (Sept. 25, 2022) surrounded by his family who loved him. Born and raised in New Britain, he attended New Britain schools. He was a long-time resident of Plainville, CT. He was employed for many years at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, CT. He had been a member the Austrian Donau Club, St. Peter Church and St. Peter Society. John was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Edwin Potetz. John is survived by three sisters Suzanne Stackhouse and her husband Gerald, Rosemary Bosse and her husband Gary, and Alice Stackhouse and her husband Robert. He is also survived by four nieces, three nephews and two great nieces. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers. We would like to thank all the medical professionals that cared for John. John had a heart of gold. He was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2022) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
