Obituary of Timothy J. Farrell

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Timothy J. Farrell, 71, of Newington, Connecticut passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. Mr. Farrell was born and raised in New Britain, and as a young man served six years in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He retired from Corbin Russwin, Inc., in 2013. Mr. Farrell was known for his fantastically witty sense of humor and his straightforward approach to life and living. He was passionate about cars, and as an avid sportsman he enjoyed hunting and fishing. More importantly, he was a loving and devoted caregiver to his dogs Heidi and Max. Mr. Farrell was especially close to his aunt, Mary J. Saplikoski of Colchester, who was his neighbor for many years, and a great source of friendship until her passing on November 3, 2000. The son of Harry J. Farrell and Helen Saplikoski Farrell, Timothy J. Farrell is survived by his brother, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas D. Farrell (Ret.) of Woodland Park, CO. He is also survived by his dear friends Anna and Jerzy Mroczek of Newington, and their children Suzanne Kent of Wethersfield, and Andrew Mroczek of Boston, MA, for whom he was an integral part of the family for more than three decades. Together they shared numerous holidays and celebrations including births, baptisms, birthdays, graduations, and weddings; numerous fishing excursions, and more barbecues than anyone can imagine. Timothy J. Farrell will be remembered not only for his camaraderie, but for how he enriched the lives of those he loved.
