There are not enough words to describe our time together preparing Smalley Elementary School Spring Concerts with the children - you as program manager and I as music director. As teachers, we grew to know each others' ways and lives; we became friends as the children did during these special, musically magic days. Goodbye for now, my friend. "Rodgers and Hammerstein", our comical given name, will meet again someday.

My sincere sympathy to all of Carol's family.. I had Carol as Miss Samsel her first year of teaching at Roosevelt... great teacher... several years later, we met up again at Smalley when my grandson went there..we got to know each other as people throughout the years.. wonderful, smart, quick witted and a great sense of humor...I will always cherish the Easter eggs that she graciously made me. Rest in Peace.. you'll never be forgotten.
