Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nancy C. (Carroll) Albert, 90, formerly of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday Feb.1, 2022. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late James and Edna (Wilcox) Carroll, she lived most of her life in New Britain, moving to Killingworth recently. The wife of the late Philippe Albert, they had been married for 63 years.
Mrs. Albert is survived by her daughter Gail and her husband, Walt Laviana of Killingworth, her son Kevin and his wife Danielle Albert of New Britain; three grandsons, Steven Albert of Chicago, Kenneth Albert of Middletown and Matthew Laviana of Vernon and several nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her siblings, Jimmy, Mildred, Ruthie, Jack and Barbara.
Nancy had an undeniable bond with her family to include camping and vacations with her family. She loved watching soap operas and sharing the day's episodes with her sister Barbara, caretaking her sisters Ruthie and Mildred and hosting holidays and picnics at her home.
Nancy was generous to a fault...you couldn't go shopping without her buying something for you, or leave her house empty handed.
She was a lover of donuts and ice cream and was the first to get up on the dance floor to strut her stuff. She was also a great fan of Gunsmoke, the old westerns and I Love Lucy.
She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor, kindness and caring for those she loved.
Funeral services will be held Monday (Feb. 7, 2022) at 10:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
